Our mission is to redefine music education, one impassioned student at a time.  

We believe that the global music industry has dramatically moved forward in the last 50 years, but music education has fallen behind. Traditional music education is failing to give our students the enriching and essential music education that will serve them in the modern world.

Our mission is to bridge this gap and redefine what music education looks, feels, and sounds like, and to arm students with a powerful and relevant music education that empowers them to thrive in the modern world. Gone are the days when music education was about passing exams in institutions, practicing alone, and striving to imitate the music of others. Today, music in its essence is about joy, expression and forming communities, and therefore music education in the 21st Century should reflect this. 

Our goal is to create an electrified community of musicians to perpetuate this education revolution, one student at a time.

Focused on developing passion as well as technique, we teach our students not just how to play an instrument, but how to play music. Through delivering high-quality private lessons and group lessons, we provide a nurturing learning environment where students can learn the craft of music, develop the creativity they need to express themselves, and belong to a beautiful music community where they can thrive.

We offer private lessons in a variety of instruments and a group music program that includes vocal groups or our Bandmates groups. Whether you are an adult learner or a child, we believe each individual is magnificent. Our job is to simply foster that magnificence with confidence, love and support so they can become the people they want to be. 

At The Bec Taylor School of Music, every student feels loved, cared for, and heard by their teachers. Every student feels part of our community, and believes they can achieve their goals through personal growth and resilience.
